Women's Volleyball Takes One out of Four Matches at the Weekend

The Clippers Volleyball team started off the day with a dominant win over Central Maine Community College winning by a score of 3-0, winning the three sets by scores of 25-4, 25-10, and 25-6. Shawna Monk led the team with 3 kills while both Alexis Prescott and Caitlyn Reynolds had 2. In the second game the Clippers were upset by the College of St. Joseph by a score of 3-0, losing the sets 25-22, 25-22, and 26-24. Alexis Prescott and Shawna Monk both had 5 kills on the game. The games bring the Clippers to a overall record of 3-6 on the season.

The Clippers volleyball team traveled to the University of Maine at Presque Isle on Sunday where they lost their matches against the hosting Owls and Fisher College. In the first game they were defeated by Fisher College in 3 sets losing them by scores of 25-12, 25-14, and 25-13. Shawna Monk led the team in both kills (7) and total attempts (19). In the second game the Clippers were defeated again in 3 sets by the hosting Owls losing by scores of 25-13, 25-17, and 25-7. Colleen Kostovick led the team in kills with 4 while Shawna Monk once again led the team with total attempts with 18. This week the Clippers will look to bounce back and secure some pivotal conference wins as they travel to face off against Great Bay Community College on Friday and NHTI and Paul Smith's college on Saturday. The Clippers next home game will be September 29th.
