(Concord, NH) The Lady Clippers cruised to the finals today defeating Paul Smith College 4-1. Freshman all conference player Cayla Thomas opened up the scoring in the 26th minute when she penatrated the Paul Smith defense with a nice combination pass with fellow freshman Nicollete Silvia. Brittany Shultz moved the lead to two when she knocked in a corner kick from Nikki Bennett.
In the second half, Kylynn Adams headed a cross in from Jenny Guzman to bring the lead to three. Paul Smith cut into the Clippers lead when a shot deflected off the post into Clipper keeper Stephanie Wunderley and into the net. But the Clippers answered again four minutes later when Cayla Thomas scored her second goal of the night. The Clippers outshot Paul Smith 29 to 2. Goalkeeper Stephanie Wunderley had one goal on the day. The Clipper will play for the conference championship tomorrow against Unity College.
