Lady Clippers Land Searsport High School Star

Alicen Brooks went to Searsport District High School where she played basketball and soccer all four years. She also played softball for three, and ran track for two. Her senior year her basketball, soccer, and softball teams made it to the quarterfinals round. Alicen also finished sixth in the state track meet for the javelin event. Alicen is very close with her family off the court. Family and sports mean everything to her and she wouldn't have had these opportunities without the support from her family and friends. Alicen is also working hard in the classroom finishing top five in her class academically. Alicen is also a member of the National Honor Society and has over 100 hours of community service. She has also participated in over twenty activities during her high school career. Alicen also mentored middle school students for three years and enjoys it very much.

Coach Lupo stated, "I am tremendously excited to add not only a talented athlete, but a hard working individual off the court just as well. Alicen has such a positive attitude and gives so much back to the community around her. Alicen's dedication proves how unselfish she is as a person. This is the exact type of character I am recruiting. Coach Lupo also added, "I can't wait to get the season going and see Alicen grow on and off the court here in Machias."

Alicen is Majoring in Biology and wants to become a pediatrician.
