Clipper Five Outlast The Fighting Saints From Vermont
The Lady Clippers have won two conference games in a row and riding this streak of energy on their home court. College of St. Joseph, VT, coming in tied for first in the West-Side of the division. UMM came out with only 5 girls playing today. The energy was high and the Lady Clippers came out firing from all cylinders. With no Bench UMM played hard and willed them to a 34-29 halftime lead. This was a close game until the last 4 minutes where the Lady Clippers started hitting big shots and found themselves with a double digit lead to close out the game with a final score of 71-56. UMM was led by an astonishing 41 points by point guard Emma LeGallais. Randi DeWitt had her best game yet showing great effort and rebounding on both ends. Randi finished with 15 points 6 rebounds. Caroline Proctor battled in the post scoring 10 points along with 7 rebounds. Danielle Wormell and Meagan Cope played extremely well and hit big shots for the Clippers. Marshae Sterling led the Fighting Saints with 18 points 13 rebounds.
