Bangor, ME - The Lady Golden Eagles were looking to wrap up the weekend on a win, but UMaine Machias had other plans as they outscored EMCC by double-digits in both halves. EMCC drops to 0-3 on the early season after a 76-49 loss to the Clippers.
UMM Held the lead the entire game to cruise to another conference win at EMCC (2-1). Vanessa Patterson, Emma LeGallais, and Kirsti Wright all contributed with a balance scoring attack all in double digits. Caroline Proctor had her third double-double in just as many games in this young exciting season. Randi DeWitt chipped in with 4 points, 4 assists, and 7 rebounds. Emma, Meagan Cope, Danielle Wormell, and Ashley Beam increased our intensity on defense the entire 40 minutes. Kirsti Wright and Danielle Wormell found their range from long distance combining for 6-10 from beyond the arc. Overall this was a step in the right direction as the Lady Clippers continue to improve as a unit on and off the court. See the Lady Clippers next as they go to Maine Maritime Academy (NCAA lll) November 19, 2013 for a non-conference matchup. GO CLIPPERS!
