Lady Clippers Basketball

The University of Maine at Machias Women’s Basketball Team has a new face on the sideline this year. After a season in which they qualified for the USCAA National Tournament, the roster experienced a major overhaul, losing many players and even their head coach. Leading the team this year is Rick Lupo, a UMM Alumni, who has put together a tough team who plays hard despite their inexperience. The team’s record stands at 2-6, and is heading into their final home game of the Fall Semester on Saturday, December 7th, against Central Maine Community College.  The Lady Clippers have picked up wins against Unity College and Eastern Maine Community College. They are led by Sophomore Vanessa Patterson and Senior Emma LeGallais, a USCAA Soccer All-American. Come out to support the Lady Clippers, as seven out of their twelve games next semester are at home in the Reynolds Center!
