Angeles County C.I.F. Championship as a freshman, and was named twice to the AllLeague

pool. Solares also played for San Bernardino Valley College where he was team captain and
earned AllConference Honors. Following, Solares attended the University of Maine at Machias
where he played for three seasons, and assisted two teams to undefeated Conference
Championships and two National Tournament appearances. Solares earned honors such as
Player of the Week, YSCC Eastern All Conference, and USCAA AllAmerican
Honorable Mention. After graduating from the University of Maine at Machias with a B.A. in Psychology, Solares returned to California as an Assistant Coach for the San Bernardino Valley College men's soccer program.
"I wanted to become the men's Head Coach at UMM because I love the school,
community, and soccer program. The opportunity to become UMM's new men's head soccer
coach is a honor, and a complete joy. It will be a pleasure to pass on all the knowledge,
discipline, and values that were instilled into me while being a student athlete at UMM.
Furthermore, I feel that UMM's soccer program has displayed tremendous growth in the last
three years, yet has not nearly reached its maximum potential. My plan is to assist the men's
team in reaching their ultimate goal of becoming champions again. "
