Transfer from Chattahoochee Tech Joins Clippers
Reggie Thompson officially signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the University of Maine at Machias this week. The 6’4 sharp shooter just completed playing two seasons with Chattahoochee Tech in Marietta, Georgia. Prior to playing at Tech, Thompson attended and played at Impact Academy in Sarasota, Florida. The Clippers have signed two other players out of Impact Academy in the past including current senior guard Aaron Van Buren. Thompson grew up in Middlesex, Delaware.
Coach Brady is excited to add Thompson to the roster saying, “Reggie has experience in a very competitive college program. He is a player with size that can really shoot the ball. He will be an impact right away for us.”
While at Chattahoochee Tech Thompson was a contributor to a team that finished 28-5 his freshman year and was ranked as high as 9th in the country. His sophomore year Tech went 25-6 while Thompson averaged 7.2 points and 1.9 rebounds a game. Thompson shot 37% from the three point line in a very competitive junior college conference.
