On Sunday, October 29th, both men and women's basketball teams travelled to Unity for two day games. Both teams collected their first conference win.
The men's team battled with the Rams, as both teams collected 39 points at the half. However, the Clippers fought to the end to win by four. Clipper point guard Darius Clark lead his team's offensive effort, who went 11 for 16 in shooting and dropped a whopping 35 points. Travonne Thompson put in work under the net, collecting 14 rebounds, 10 of which were on the defensive end. Thompson also scored 15 points. Off the bench was freshman Logan Alley who scored 11 points for the Clippers, dropping three three-pointers.
On the women's side the Clippers quickly sped past the Rams, scoring 11 points in the first two minutes of the game. The lady Clippers beat the Unity Rams 88-35. Freshman Caitlyn Lyons led the Clippers offensively, scoring 30 points, including five three-pointers. Lyons also recorded six rebounds. Alicen Brooks scored 20 points and picked up five assists. Senior Kali Alley also contributed with six rebounds, three assists, and eleven points. Kiandra Barnes came off the bench to attribute eight points with freshman Kala Young who recorded six rebounds.
