CMCC Outscores Clippers

The Mustangs came in to the Reynolds Center gym at the University of Maine at Machias with the goal of challenging for 1st place in the YSCC. Our Clippers had held that spot for weeks.  When the first whistle blew the fast paced action started.  This was an exciting game to watch, as the athleticism of both teams made for many transitions and fast breaks.  As the final buzzer sounded, the Clippers were behind by 10 points, for a final score of 92-102.  Ben Teer and Brandon Blakely were the leading scorers for the Clippers with 21 each.  Ivory Sneed was right behind them with 18 points and 16 rebounds.  It was also high school recognition day and the fans were treated to a scrimmage by the Machias Memorial High School Varsity Team during half time.  The Clippers are back in action on Tuesday in a YSCC Conference game against Unity College. Tip off is at 7:30.  The theme for Tuesday's game is Faculty/Staff appreciation day and each athlete is going to acknowledge a Faculty or Staff member that has had a positive impact on their experiene at the University of Maine at Machias.  Come out to support your Clippers on Tuesday night!
