Machias, ME- The University of Maine at Machias men's basketball team won the final home game of the year Friday night in the Reynolds Center over the College of Saint Joseph. The final score of the game was 79-71. Four players reached double figures for the Clippers, Jeremy Tolbert 20, Will Lewis 18, Zach Armstrong 11 and David Mendez 10. The win gives the Clippers a 22-8 regular season record and 13-3 in the Yankee Conference.
The last home game of the season was a special night as the senior players were recognized before the game. Nate Burke, Jeremy Tolbert, Karan Kakar and Zach Armstrong all competed in their final home game for the Clippers. Coach Brady committed, "This is a special group of guys and these seniors have done a good job of setting the tone for the season. I am very proud of all of them. It is always emotional on senior night."
The Clippers return to action on Friday at the Yankee Conference Tournament in Concord, New Hampshire. Time and opponent are yet to be determined.
