Machias, ME- The University of Maine at Machias men's basketball team pulled out another close victory over Paul Smith College Sunday in the Reynolds Center. The Clippers beat the Bobcats by a final score of 83-79. The win moves the Clippers record to 17-7 and 8-2 in the Yankee Conference.
The Clippers saw four players reach double figures in scoring led by David Mendez with 25 including 4 three point field goals. Will Lewis chipped in 18 points and had 6 assists. Jeremy Tolbert finished with 11 and Floyd Higgins tallied 10 points and 8 rebounds. The Bobcats were led by Kashean Alston with 23 points.
The Clippers return to action Tuesday night with a home game against Eastern Maine. The Clippers have an opportunity to move into a tie for first in the Yankee Conference with a win over Eastern Maine. Tip for the game is set for 7:30 pm.
